Admittance of your child into Dubai Scholars requires adherence to the following regulations.

Punctuality
  • Children should report to school at least 10 minutes before class begins. They must be collected promptly when classes end at 12.30 p.m. (for L.K.G + H.K.G.) and at 1.45 p.m. (for Grades 1-11)
  • Regular attendance is expected. Prior approval for unavoidable absence, lateness or early withdrawal must be obtained from the Principal and not the Class Teacher.
  • The School Nurse should be notified when a child is ill and unable to attend school. In the case of an infection, the child must bring a certificate on return to school
Home Work
Each Class (Grades 1 to 11) will be given specific instructions where homework is concerned. Please carefully read every circular and sign your child's diary on a daily basis. Check and sign all note books during the weekends. If you have any doubts regarding your child's home or class assignments, send a letter to the respective teachers(s) and she/he will contact you after school hours or fix an appointment if necessary.

Equipment
Books are provided, but each child needs a good briefcase or satchel to carry home his educational material. No bags with rollers are allowed. Care must be taken that books are not marked. Parents are expected to replace lost or damaged books. All children must carry HB Pencils, rubbers and coloured pencils.

Appointments
The Principal is available to meet with parents by appointment only. This can be done through the administration office. If a parent wishes to meet with a Class Teacher, please make your request for an appointment in writing, through the School Diary.

Bus
For safety reasons, strict discipline must be maintained on the bus at all times. Children will not be allowed to consume food or drinks on the bus. Disciplinary action will be taken for any misconduct.

Note: For Grades 5 to 11, please be advised that your child may be expected to stay after school or attend school on Saturday for a particular school activity. These normally relate to sport practices or theatre rehearsals.
